Also, Martin Scorsese did a movie about the Dalai Lama called "Kundun" and that is also a very good movie. And Amber, the answer to your question is that that was China's Panchen Lama. The Dalai Lama's Panchen Lama was from a poor Tibetan family who probably had no idea what Pokemon was.Bullet for Babshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10131351430518593054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4735284679130338517.post-57597467059580246222008-12-18T15:19:00.000-08:002008-12-18T15:19:00.000-08:00I am really glad that you posted about this. The movie was truly moving and I am shocked that the Chinese are allowed to get away with killing so many Tibetans and their culture...it is horrifying. I agree that the Dali Lama has many of the same qualities of other religious leaders and so much insight into why the world is in this state and what we all need to do to make it a better place. For those who have not seen this movie...do it!Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01389837813850832971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4735284679130338517.post-29921760725399323082008-12-18T09:23:00.000-08:002008-12-18T09:23:00.000-08:00Thanks for posting about this. I've seen Seven Years in Tibet and remember it being a good movie, but can't remember a lot about it. I need to watch it again, and this movie as well. I think the Lord puts lots of humble, inspired people to help His work along, not just Mormons.Nenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13847303868378288229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4735284679130338517.post-26687299134772923352008-12-18T09:18:00.000-08:002008-12-18T09:18:00.000-08:00p.s. and I agree with you I think there are good t...p.s. and I agree with you I think there are good things and good people in every religion, just think one of the most charitable people was Mother Teresa who was catholic. :)Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11692897932694365285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4735284679130338517.post-5961144431019535142008-12-18T09:17:00.000-08:002008-12-18T09:17:00.000-08:00I remember a long time ago watching a news report ...I remember a long time ago watching a news report about the new Dali Lama being this little 8 year old boy in england or america who liked pokemon - which one was that the one the real dali lama chose or the one china chose? do you know?Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11692897932694365285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4735284679130338517.post-84960118301490241692008-12-18T07:46:00.000-08:002008-12-18T07:46:00.000-08:00Have you ever seen "Seven Years in Tibet"?
